We have a wonderful event planned this month. We invite you to join us on Sunday, June 8th at 6:30 pm at our Augusta Road Shoppe for our intimate wine tasting dinner.
This month, we will be featuring winemaker Paul Hobbs, one of our favorite winemakers! In 2013, Forbes Magazine referred to Hobbs as “The Steve Jobs of Wine”. He has twice been named “Wine Personality of the Year” by Robert Parker of The Wine Advocate. Over his 40+ year career, Hobbs has received more than ten 100-point scores across his portfolio—a rare feat that places him in the top echelon of the world’s winemakers. In 1979, Paul Hobbs was appointed a member of the inaugural Opus One winemaking team joint venture between Robert Mondavi / Mouton Rothschild of Bordeaux. Our Augusta Road team is putting together a four-course tasting-size portioned chef-prepared menu that has been selected to pair perfectly with Crossbarn by Paul Hobbs Sonoma Chardonnay, Crossbarn by Paul Hobbs Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon, Paul Hobbs Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon, and Paul Hobbs Russian River Pinot Noir.
Tickets are $190.00 for a couple / $100.00 for a single!
Each purchase of a “Couples’ Ticket” will receive a bottle of Crossbarn by Paul Hobbs Sonoma Chardonnay and Paul Hobbs Russian River Pinot Noir (a combined retail value of $115 from the wineries).
Each “Single Ticket” will receive the Crossbarn by Paul Hobbs Sonoma Chardonnay
Additionally, we will offer special flights that include Felino Chardonnay by Vina Cobos + Paul Hobbs, Paul Hobbs Russian River Chardonnay, Crossbarn Pinot Noir, and Crossbarn Napa Cabernet for $30.00. If you Pre-Order more than $300.00 from any of the featured wines, the price of the flight will be fully complimentary.
We have also been allocated a few of the unique Paul Hobbs wines including a Spanish White Wine from Alvaredos-Hobbs, Godelo; a red blend from Mendoza -Vina Cobos Paul Hobbs selection Cocodrilo Red, and the last available bottles in the state of the 2020 Paul Hobbs Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that Jeb Dunnuck gave 95 points! These tough-to-find epic wines are perfect additions to your cellar or to drink now! And a little secret…. We will be taking Pre-Orders on the 98 points from Jeb Dunnuck – 2021 Paul Hobbs Beckstoffer Dr Crane Cabernet Sauvignon for delivery later this summer; reserve yours at the dinner!
All featured wines will be available for special pricing purchases if locked down that night, and delivery will be made by the end of the week, 6/13/2025, just in time for Father’s Day!
